In Japan, Labor Thanksgiving Day (勤労感謝の日, Kinrō Kansha no Hi) echoes similar sentiments, where labor and production are celebrated and thanks are given for work done throughout the year. It’s a reminder that gratitude can take many forms, and appreciating each other’s efforts is universally valued.

One of my most cherished holiday memories is walking through the vibrant markets of Vienna during December. The Rathausplatz transforms into a dazzling spectacle, with twinkling lights that seem to compete with stars in the night sky.
